Francesca and Enrico live in London, but chose charming Puglia, Francesca’s birthplace, to experience the most exciting day of their life together.
The wedding, characteristic of Puglia’s history, tradition and allure, took place in Monopoli, in the romantic St. Michele Church in Frangesto, which dates back to the 11th century. It was there that the happy couple and their guests shed tears of joy and exchanged smiles and hugs during a traditional and heartwarming ceremony.
Equally enchanting was the location chosen for Francesca and Enrico’s wedding reception, Masseria Torre Coccaro, in Savelletri; an elegant resort built in an ancient coastal watchtower. Torre Coccaro was built in the sixteenth century in order to protect the coast from the attack of the Saracens and is just a stone’s throw from the beach, surrounded by a cultivation of huge olive, almond and carob trees.
A captivating venue which recounts a story of an ancient population and events that indelibly mark the history of both Salento and Italy. On the top of the tower the old dovecote used to send messages is still visible, inside the tower you can observe ancient caves with sheep barns, a mill built in 1000 a.c. together with a big underground chimney and, slightly further on, a small chapel from 1730 and a delightful private garden in which Francesca and Enrico, together with their relatives and friends, celebrated their wedding day. Altogether, an unforgettable array of emotions for everyone.
